    Pressure points of pleasure

My best friend has this mat and I borrowed his to try, well I’m hooked. I bought level 2, an upgrade from his level one. Taking this to the beach, listening to the waves and having a nice snooze while feeling tension float away is amazing. I would recommend this mat to everyone.

    The perfect shape

As soon as I saw this little log, I had to get it. The shape is to-die-for. I use it as a complement to my shakti mat and the stress and tension release on my neck is just the cherry on top of the back acupressure. I also enjoy putting my feet on it when I'm at my desk, where I can choose how much pressure to put on it, and it's a great way to bring circulation and stimulate pressure points for all-over wellness.

At first I wasn't sure, then I went out on a limb and got one and I do not regret it!

Like others have said, the initial sensation is quite sharp but nothing you can't get past if you have a little faith in the bliss and all over tension release that is sure to come. The sharpness wasn't truly painful for me, it was more so interesting and uncomfortable, and I enjoyed the gradual transition from the discomfort to release and energizing warmth that emanated throughout my body. If you're a fan of the sore feeling after exercising, or you like to do yoga or stretch or roll on a foam roller to get out the tight knots, this is a similar feeling, just more intense and highly concentrated. I'm a fan.

    Still on the fence

I've had my Shakti mat for about a week now. It's definitely unique and different. I haven't had one of those ah-ha moments…yet. But I am hopeful! I'm really hoping it'll eventually help with the tension I feel. I do find that the pain of lying on the mat goes away after a few minutes. But one thing I have noticed is that it stings a lot when you sit up from the mat. I've also found that my neck is so stiff right now that I almost don't feel the sharpness of the spikes in my neck. I look forward to more meditative moments on the mat!

    Hi Alicia,
Thank you for sharing your honest experience. Getting off the mat can indeed be a real challenge. You might consider trying different methods, such as rolling to your side or performing a glute bridge, and folding the mat under you before sitting up. Our support team would be happy to provide you with practical tips to help you get the most out of your Shakti products. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@shaktimat.co.nz.

    When It Hurts So Good!

In a matter of a few short weeks have become addicted to the post spike bliss and actually crave using the mat + pillow on a few body parts in succession before falling into a deep dreamy sleep.

Sensitivity reduces over time with consistency - can’t wait until all areas feel like itching a deep scratch I didn’t know I had.

Husband sneaks in daytime spike sessions too, and loves playing with the brass ball while watching tv - hands, feet, forehead, etc.

    A happy household of converts.
